Massage is healthcare, not a luxury
Hi, my name is Raíz, and I’m a queer massage therapist currently serving Santa Clara County and the surrounding areas.
I set out on my massage journey to be able to provide massages and holistic care education for individuals who would traditionally not have access to this type of care. I believe that massage is health care, not self-care, and everyone has a right to care for their bodies in a way that makes them feel safe and comfortable.
As a trans practitioner, creating safe and affirming care for queer and trans people is especially important to me. Existing as a trans person can be exhausting sometimes. Our bodies are constantly politicized, questioned, and misunderstood. I wanted to create a space where people can simply exist without needing to explain themselves.
My goal is to offer bodywork that feels grounding, calming, and human. Everyone deserves care. Everyone deserves safety. And everyone deserves the chance to reconnect with their body in a way that feels healing.

Floor massage is an Eastern-influenced style of bodywork that incorporates elements of Thai massage, shiatsu, assisted stretching, and mindful movement.
Floor massage focuses on improving mobility, flexibility, circulation, and overall balance within the body. Sessions often involve guided stretching and gentle movement of the arms, legs, hips, and neck to help improve joint mobility and release tension throughout the body.
Clients remain fully clothed during this style of massage, so it’s best to wear comfortable clothing such as workout pants and a t-shirt to your session.
Swedish massage is one of the most well-known massage modalities. This style of massage uses long, flowing strokes along with massage oils or lotions to help promote relaxation, circulation, and overall nervous system regulation throughout the body.
During a Swedish massage, clients remove only the clothing they feel comfortable removing and rest on the massage table underneath a set of sheets. Proper draping is always used so that only the area currently being worked on is exposed.
Deep tissue massage is a technique that can be incorporated into a Swedish massage session when extra attention is needed in areas of chronic tension or tightness.
This work involves slower, more focused pressure that targets deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Massage therapists may use their hands, forearms, or elbows to help release adhesions and areas of tension commonly referred to as “knots.”
Deep tissue massage can sometimes feel more intense than relaxation-focused massage, and it’s normal to feel mild soreness afterward. Proper warm-up techniques, communication, and hydration can all help reduce post-massage discomfort.
